Seat covers

I need to get a waterproof cover made for a helm seat (not for a RIB, it's more like a swivel office chair).

Any recommendations for someone who would be good for this sort if work? Ideally within an hour or so of Brighton.

Northrop sails in RAMSGATE. You can have a cuppa here too... And I'll post it down once it's made

I have a cover for my tractor seat. It is a contractor quality garbage bag. 100% water proof, and breathes around the bottom. Works awesome!

Sunbrella is commonly used for making covers, but does take a heavy duty sewing machine. Most anyone can make it, but sail makers tend to have the right walking foot machines.

I have a similar arrangement at the moment, but I'm looking to upgrade!

Daniel, thanks for the offer. If I don't find anything closer to home I may take you up on it.

John

These guys have done some work for me in the past recovering motorcycle seats and are based in Southborne near Emsworth:
S. Roberts Upholsterers Ltd - Furniture restoration service - Portsmouth

They are apparently quite well known locally with the classic scooter guys, and have also done lots of work on boats etc.
Strangely their website doesn't reflect any of this.

Worth a call.

It's like an office swivel chair and I want fitted covers for the seat and back, plus a separate overall cover for when it's not being used. Not upholstery though.
