For those interested , there is a 15 minute BBC podcast about these sea eagles which raises ( I thought ) some interesting questions about such re-introductions , and other matters......

( podcast should be available next 12 months at least )

So whilst we are all self-isolating ( Apart from out NHS , SS and other essential Heroes ) , keep watching the skies anywhere over the UK. The first pic. shows all reliable sightings in the past month . Some sightings even suggest a pair may be seen together .

The second image ( not mine ) clearly shows how big these birds are ! ( The smaller bird is a buzzard ! ) .

We’ve recently moved to the IOW, I’ve seen one twice on the military road (the road from Blackgang Chine to Freshwater).
I haven’t managed to get a photo yet but a great sight!

The " official " version of my update.........

https://www.birdguides.com/news/isle...Fd%7egqpRqXqVn

Breaking Osprey news for Dorset....

https://www.birdsofpooleharbour.co.u...sprey-webcams/

Stunning shots of the female scanning the skies waiting for the male to return.......

At this exciting time in the project, when we are on the cusp of potential breeding on the South Coast for the first time in almost 200 years, we want to be able to document the return of these amazing birds, and share this experience with the public through a webcam
