Postage to Germany???

Hi, can anyone recommend a company to send a parcel to Germany.

Weighs about 5kg

Value around £250

These are the quotes I've had from Royal Mail...

DHL can do it for £43 if it fits in 33cm x 32cm x 18cm deep box (box option 4). Takes 1-3 days.

Alternatively get a quote here: http://www.parcel2go.com/parcel-delivery/germany

Just double-check insurance.

You can definitely beat that. Lots of couriers also require dimensions. You dropping off or wanting collection that affects price too. Tracking? Urgency?

I'd have expected with EU something around £25 but cheaper may be possible. Got something from China from Hermes the other day... That threw me... But seems they only do international delivery if you send 20million parcels a day.

That's Parcelforce Worldwide rather than Parcelforce Europe on your quote...?

It asks where you want to send it and then gives you the options so it atomically selected worldwide.

Postage to Germany???

Interparcel

Guessed the size to 40 x 40 x 40 but will be much cheaper than parcel force - they even show in there as £20

Just go to p4d or parcel to go with full dimensions/value/weight and it will give you all the main (and minor) couriers comparisons in a comparison/meerkat/gocompare type stylee...

Done it

Found the parcel to go website, and it was easy and cheaper, they will collect it from me tomorrow

Thanks for your help with this, I may look to use this again as I'm finding the post office a bit expensive these days....

The extra insurance cost £5 and also I paid 20p + vat for a text to say it's delivered

Point? He asked a question!
My take are the fuel bladders for round Scotland in his Rib?

Big plus for Parcel2go I have used then many times and when things have gone wronge they are very helpful and pay up the insurance money with out having to jump through lots of hoops

Hi Daniel - right for Scotland ! Question with land support respectively fuel on board will be the same as it was this year .
Liked already the AVON bladders in my former Searider but was until the RB not aware about these bladders as they were used on DUMA !
They are hanging under the tubes and do not occupy deck space .
With moving them front or back the boat can be trimmed as well .
Looking very much forward to install them !
