Paralift on Cheesee

It was decided last summer to extend the height of the transom last year to enable us to fit paralift, had put her on last summer but did not perform at all, now the transom has been raised by 15 cm. it should be a lot different.

Last night we mounted the bracket on and fitted 10 cm. extension to move the paralift and engine further back as well did we fit the paralift.

The engine is due to be mounted on tonight and put on water tomorrow evening or Friday evening so will be ready for action on Saturday.

Few pics showing the bracket and paralift mounted on.

As oars?
I did semi-seriously think about sticking 3 Seagull 40+ on it and taking it to Fowey for the annual British Seagull race

Some of those Seagull outboards have some seriously large props. I'm sure they'd push the boat along as a fan rather than a prop.

So how many Seagulls you got then?

None now-sold all the small engines a few months back.

Anyway, shall we get back on-topic?

Yes, lets...

I bet one of those Seagulls would out perform that electric jobby on Cheesee

Bogi, what's your WOP (Wide open Potentiometer) speed?

The guys at the workshop where having fun on me.... even our MD made me an excellent offer to trade in the Verado for this motorguide and I to pay GBP 100

Matter a fact there is one very old Seagull at the workshop.

I know Ive marvelled at it before Bogi, but seeing it again reminds me that putting that engine on your boat is like fitting a gas turbine to a floatation aid Respect .... you nut case !! If only I had the bottle

It was great last year, wasn´t able to use the lift last year as it was too low in water, now we have raised the transom and should be better..... we will see tomorrow night.
