Interesting pics I was poking around Goole the other day and there is a big plaque stating the mulberry harbours where made here

There are still some of the mulberry harbours sat alongside the shoreline opposite southampton water between hythe and marchwood.

And my regiments history is all about the landings as the maritime regiment at the time was deeply involved.
And the current military port although different now was built and setup to aid the d-day landings.
