Yes, we blew our auxy's also..but like when we blew the main propulsion boilers,.... it was never during daylight hours
If you had vitnessed the density and duration of the smoke comming out you too would have realised it wasnt soot blowing but something more sinister.
You a fellow steam-queen perhaps?

No, as I said, diesel boats. Sulzer and B&W's but we had major kettles on board for all of our Cargo pumps......
