Hello Newbie here

Hi my first post here ,My name is Duncan I live on the Norfolk coast and I am a member of my local independant inshore lifeboat . Just realized there is another member called dunc so hope me being dunc5 doesnt cause too much confusion and if so I'm quite happy to have it changed ( although I realize this can only be done by a mod ) .Looking forward to joining in and learning a few things .

Cheers

Dunc

Ah, it's all coming clear now. You're not the first person to say that they couldn't work out how to include smilies. Seemed strange to me, as they are shown in a box to the right of the editor, ready to click on . . .

It turns out that somewhere down the line the default for new users was changed to the basic editor. I guess it was during a recent "upgrade"!

I've now changed everyone's setting to the enhanced editor with easy smilies and icons to click on. Should make things like embedding Youtube videos easier too.

Thanks for the heads up

John

We often launch out of Wells next to the sea, might try there another time, if you can post a pic of the slip etc

Here goes , you asked for it

Launching is done by these guys http://www.beachrockleisure.com/ Not sure how much they charge. Dont be put off by some of the pics with the water at the bottom of the ramp ( was taken in rough weather on springs ) There is a large beach and 95% of the time tide doesnt effect launching. If you wish for any more pics I can take some later when I take the dog out .

Cheers
