Agree wholeheartedly it is an amazing series. They are fantastic I do noy know what keeps them going more than duracell!! I am glad they have cut it to the four boats as I think they are the best in every way from fishing to crews and the banter. Some real life angles this time round and last nights finmished on a very sad note.
hears to another good safe season, like you I would love to think I had the BALLS to have a go!!

Great series but it's no worse than what every fisherman goes through in the North Sea - and they make far less money!!!

Yes I watch it. The crew of Time Bandit came to our little town end of last year. Bill actually lives here. Great bunch of guys. We all got really drunk at the local Cantina. They brought a case of crab and we sent them back with a case of Dorado.

If it's from Mexico it must be 'EL' Dorado

Try 'Ill Dorado'

I heard of a taxi driver on Radio 2 today, who picked a couple up from Heathrow. On discovering that they'd just arrived from Mexico City, he sharply wound the drivers window down and drove the rest of the way with his head out of the window.

Good to know that taxis drivers are still dumb arses and believe the stuff they watch on TV.

PS. Dorado ( Spanish translation is golden) are also known as Dolphin fish or Mahi Mahi. ( Japan)

Yes, they do. Went out 26 miles in the "big boat" today to try and catch the first Dorado of the season. Hit 73 degree water so was looking good. Ended up with 5 total with yours truly getting the biggest one at 25 lbs. Had seven lines out and got the big one at 8.15am after putting lines in the water for only 10 mins. Took about 15 mins. to get it to the boat and a lot of huffing and puffing by an old man like me. First time I have caught one and I promise that it is the most fun you can have with your pants on.

For those interested the episode that includes the Time Bandit crew visit to San Carlos and fishing tournament will be shown on June 2nd. All the locals involved have just signed releases for Discovery Channel. I may get included as part of the drunken crowd at the Cantina for the presentations. I am sure my two girlfriends Leesa and Alecsis will be in there.
