club membership 'software'

Looking at buying or installing an online membership software for sailing club

to deal with different type of members - family , social etc

dinghy park fees

would be good to have calendar , online booking etc...

anybody got any suggestions free or paid!

Last I heard Recware was a good one. There aren't too many players in that market (2 or 3 big ones). They're owned by active.com and they offer a hosted version as well as a licensed/non-hosted.

Scott there is a company who specialise in club subscriptions and then there is Duty Man for Rotas and any old calendar you want. They send me emails from time to time...

Heron-dinghy.org.uk uses Joomla as its web platform with AEC as a module for subscriptions, that used to be free but I think you do now need a subscription to it (not hugely expensive) to download it. Its not perfect as it assumes everyone will have we access... there are obviously various on-line calendars etc for Joomla some of which would let you integrate payments for bookings etc.

Biggest challenge is persauding the club committee that the % handling charge for credit card payments is in their interest...

thanks - club site is already joomala... will look in to that plugin - duty man version is clunky and not hosted it's a distributed database....

I have been there about credit cards % for functions etc...we increased cost !

will look again ....
