Camera Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a digital camera costing about £50 that uses SD Memory cards, AA batteries preferred.
The camera is to be used for skiing and I would like it to have a decent mega pixel rate, be smallish and have some sort of an optical zoom.
There are just so many to choose from I'm looking for a recommendation.

Many Thanks in advance.

Forget the mega pixels - it's a con - especially on smaller cameras. The lens is the most important. All the makers are doing is tweaking chips - at the expense of quality - just to sell cameras. Don't blame the manufacturers - it's the publics fault just shopping by numbers - they do the same with PCs!!!

Nice little refurb Oylmpus - ONLY 3.2mp but a damn sight better than a no name special claiming 6mp!!!

Great fan of Fuji cameras - this one is a little over budget at £62.

Whoops just noticed these both take XD cards - not SD cards - I take it you already have SD cards lying around?

Codders,

Once again your a mine of information. A couple of good options there on cameras that a couple of years ago would have been expensive.

I love buying off Ebay - just check the ratings and make sure they have loads of recent positive feedback. I have had much better service off Ebay than many normal mail order people - after all you can't leave bad feedback for most mail order places!!!

He codders, I have not lost it. I told you that I was a canon dealer.
I am at logger heads with them at the moment, but that is an instant over the 20 years.
If biggles has a Budget of £50, then I will give him this free. Its that simple, I couldnt give a UNO. This will be a camera that I have personally used and I will include all that I have kept inc books etc. It is written off.
I will put you down for the nest if you want...
I cannot bring it with me and what goes around comes around dude....

Biggles, call me man. You have two FFIn hopes, me and Bob Hope and I think he is dead.
You will not get what you want for your money. However, I will give you what you need free gratis cos I have it and you need it. Dont try to understand it. you cannot cos your are not Irish,
FIrst of all, trying to pist Apline slopes, forget it you need Canon lens.
Canon include proper Glass lens on all cameras cos they dont understnd 2nd , place and they have no imagination. so they give each client all? everything. This is whay you should always buy canon. No other lens will capture the depth of field which is huge in Alpine shots. Canon only use Glass lens. They may look and sound silly, but Canon have this camera market buried hands down. Tough shit the rest, I dont even get on wit canon as a dealer
