I bought my 400d in December for £10 more, so it hasn't come down by that much

Don't count your chickens before they hatch !!!! Price was £413 yes £413 they made a mistake should have been £513 so they renaged on the deal and have since updated their website with the correct price, still, bought the camera but paid £474 for camera lens and 2gb card still cheap but not the bargain i was hoping for

Hi Fred, report them to the office for fair trading. Unless it specifically said on the advert "offer to treat", they have to give it to you for the price advertised.
Otherwise they can and should be reported to the Office of Advertising Standards. I am sure they will at least give you the difference, worth a try and you may feel good about it.

Nice camera tho.

Their terms didn't actually say "invitation to treat" but may have implied that since they make it clear that the transaction isn't complete until they confirm the deal

Nobody has to sell at the advertised price.... they are within their rights to withdraw any item from sale. An advertisement is just an invitation to buy, not a contract. It's covered in section 3.4 of their T's and C's on the web site anyway.

Great choice of camera Fred

I use a 350 D with a 28-135 Image Stabilised zoom which I positively recommend.

Maybe over there Richard, but over here if its an advertisd price, then that is the price, unlss it suggests that it is "an offer to treat" this is to my knowledge.
Furthermore in a retail situation over here, all items must be priced if on display. Failure to honour these prices I am led to believe will bring down the Wrath of the Fair standards, Advertising and whatever Ombidsman

Doesnt mean it works, just means its supposed to work...

Yep it is a fine camera.
