Anybody commute to work by boat?

Just thought I'd ask as I'm doing my second jolly "To work" in as many weeks.

I have to work this weekend on the IOW, at Cowes as it happens for Mazda at the local dealership & the usual option is take the ferry, book a hotel etc etc, I get my expenses back eventually.

Or

launch the boat from Calshot, book into the Marina at Cowes for a couple of nights, stay on the boat (its a 6m cuddy) do a bit of cruising in the evenings & the day after. The company were like err don't see why not, they'll pay me the equivalent costs of ferry & hotel I even reckon I'll be quids in

Weather is looking mint too

Will be using the rib to visit the boat show this week. Cheaper to pay for a short stay at town quay than get a taxi home.

Got a function to go to in Cowes too. Again much cheaper than red jet and taxis.
