When I flew with Thomson over Christmas '09, I was told by the travel agent that ski carriage would be £30 (return), or £40 at the airport, if I didn't pre-book. 2 pairs of skis fitted in the one bag, without any problems.

If you'd like to check the title of this thread you'll notice the word 'skiers', not 'Gays on Trays'.

About 3 weeks.

I was in St Anton a couple of weeks ago, and I was surprised by how few snowboarders there were compared to the French resorts - The standard of skiing was also quite a bit better than some places I've been.

Had a nightmare in St Anton - first morning out with my lovely wife for the first skiing holiday with just the two of us, and she fell over before lunch on the first morning and managed to put a hairline fracture in two bones in her pelvis! Luckily the fractures were stable and after 600 Euros on an MRI scan (they insisted on being paid there and then) three X rays and lots of intravenous drugs she is now having six weeks off work. I managed to get some skiing in with some nutters and a guide after sorting out Doctors and everything so all was not lost, but it could have gone better!
