Another change at Cowes Week

The extreme 40s have been racing each year during Cowes Week off the front but it appears that Cardiff have won the bid to host the UK racing in this years calender
News Archive » Extreme Sailing Series

So no fireworks and no extreme 40s

unless this press release from Cowes means there will be some close shore racing

Cowes2012

All is not lost up to 9 J boats to race clock wise around the island in July plus a large fleet off clasic yachts from all over the world

The replica of Edward the VII Britannia is now alongside Venture quay and will be refitted on the Island in readiness for the 12 metre class events .

Some good big boat racing coming to the Solent this year so some must see classics coming to us.

Extreme 40 will be missed but better stuff coming in place of it.

Good news about the Fireworks, always a great evening (except if it tips with rain, then I have to watch them from the bedroom window )
