37 Year old Storm Petrel

Imagine the amount of sea this little fella must have covered, generally only spotted some distance out to sea for protection purposes the Storm Petrel is one of my favourite sea birds, it''s amazing how close they glide over breaking sea's all day long, only returning to land under the cover of dark.

Remarkable little birds. They only land to breed and raise chicks. Most of their existence is at sea, little is known about this, but I suppose they must spend most of their life on the wing?

From personal experience, I know that they like chicken sandwiches. Well - crumbs and bits of chicken skin. They skim the waves and snatch these tit bits from the surface.
