I hope they don't have planning permission to build on it. It'd ruin the area.

As for 30 acres at low water... most of that's mudflats.

My family also own a valuable bit of land - about 2000 acres at low water. Sadly at high water there is just 1 gorse bush sticking out. never mind Britain is tilting slowly to the east so in about 300 years we will be rich!!!

Estate agents 'considered' exageration and descriptions never fail to amuse me .. like saying if you live in a good bit next to a rough bit ... they describe your bit as 'outer lower good bit '

Couldn't agree more. This is the second time in the last couple of years that one of the islands in Poole harbour is up for grabs. On both occasions the estate agents blurb has quoted the mean area of the island. Is the prospective purchaser not supposed to care that a fair chunk of this will be underwater !

Give me strength ...

Yep-and the fact that the crown will actually own most of what the estate agent is telling the purchaser they are buying...

I wonder how much of the 200 acres surrounds the island next to it too?

Now that would make an interesting neighbour fence line dispute
