Yarmouth Sunday 22nd November

Sunday seems to be the best day of the weekend for lunch in Yarmouth.
Anybody else up for it?
Leaving SDS approx. 10:30

Cold is OK so one can dress up in warm clothes but no rain and not too much wind. Better then staying at home

It's our daughter's 21st birthday bash on Saturday......

However, hangover permitting and subject to being able to round up some sort of a crew, I'll try and make it (although don't wait for me to start those nachos!).

Dave

A blast across to Yarmouth will for sure get rid of any hangover so no worries there but the lack of crew is another matter.
My crew is away so I am on my own
Hopefully see you there

sorry to hear this. Looks like I will have the Solent for myself

According to BBC weather forecast the weather in the Solent for Sunday is SUNNY, max 10mph wind, visibility good, wind direction NNW, temp 6 degrees

Hi Stuart, I do not think anyone is coming from Pool. I plan to be in Yarmouth for about 12

Red wine this end has proved fine: looks like I'm the last one standing!

Mrs A wants lunch with her sisters (who are not into boating) and their other halves feel obliged ......

Scurvy Crew is in Glastonbury and Miss 21 is in no fit state (her boyfriend is but is looking after her: I don't dare ask him to crew!).

Looks, therefore, like I'm on my own: plan to launch from Parkstone Bay Marina (Poole) at 10.30 so will be available to accompany Stuart1975 at 10.45 if he makes it. Either way, I'll try to be in Yarmouth by 12.00 when the pub opens!

Looks like we are both on our own.

Have a safe crossing and see you in Yarmouth at 12

well another good day on the water. it was a bit cold from the beginning and entering the Solent there was even a small drizzle . The sea was flat as a pancake with no wind whatsoever. Hard to believe that only yesterday and in the week there were some quite strong gusts of wind..

Met up with Dave and Pete at 12 in Yarmouth and we as usual enjoyed a good lunch. we left Yarmouth at 2.

My GoPro films are very good so will later post some clips .

Those who were keen to come out but a warm bed took preference let me tell you that such days on the water do not come often.

Good for you. I was gutted, especially as the replacement ob is now fitted to the Shakey. So she needa a food few runs. No staying in bed for me though, to much other running around to do and a 5am start tomorrow.

Next time hopefully.
