It's a nice part of the world and as "central" as you're likely to get (bar a run up the Shannon at Athlone ). I'm interested.

Any suggested dates, launch points, preferred Islands, etc.?

Why not make it more traditionally Irish "a dash from pub to pub"?

plan

ok we can launch from the slipway at clifden boat club in clifden or for those who want could launch from clew bay not sure where do ???
date> friday the third to monday 5th
plan....
we meet in clifden midday on friday. launch hed to inishboffin about 30mins camp there
,there is a pub

saturday early start cruise around the many smaller islands and head to inishturk north for lunch.
then on to clare island for the night where we can camp.

sunday cruise maybe down killary ford
and back to inishturk south to camp .
then 10 minute spin into clifden in morning to recover boats

there is no fuel on any islands so you must bring with you along with camping gear and food

It just struck me that you had picked the same weekend as that trip. But if you are all on the west coast, I guess it's easier to go cruising there!
