Swanage Carnvival + Red Arrows Sunday 29th July

The Red Arrows will be displaying at the Swanage carnival about 1pm on sunday. As previous years this is an excellent display and great to view from the water in Swanage Bay. There will be a lot of boats about so watch out for numpty heads if you intend to visit.

Update, spoke to Red Arrows PR person, asked about the display line, she said it was 800metres north of the pier, if you have an ordanance survey map then its on the N of swanage.

Obviously depends on which ordanance survey map and im not sure of the exact display line. But anywhere in that vicinity 800metres north of the pier would be a great place to watch it from the water.

Bear in mind there may be a safety exclusion zone in operation in that area similar to bournemouth air show.

Swanage is prabably still the same !

Reds did a very nice 10 aircraft flypast this afternoon of the bournemouth display line .

Probably never see a 10 formation again, ever,

Last time I was there will be more than ten years ago and a couple of pubs were closed and boarded up, wasn't sure if things had improved.
Wouldn't mind a trip back down.

We will be there with a full boat.

Unlike Bournemouth there is no "crowd" line or exclusion zone, so can be right under the syncro pair if you get it right.

From a boat it is one of the best places to see the Arrows

Yep - providing its not pissing down or blowing a gale.
I went the year before last - great view from the bay - you can actually see the pilots in the cockpit

I'm consdiering it depending on how I feel inthe morning and the wind /sea state for my 4m ..I think its one of thier best displays - love wathing them come over Ballard down and then push the nose down again .

Love to stand on Ballard down just under them ( about 20ft by the looks of it from the water ! )

You are a veteran of the Alderney floptilla a little bit of rain or wind should be no problem.

There you go. Very windy and surprisingly cold. Saw Bpris and 250 out in bay but I was tucked up nearer the shore.

Great run back really good conditions for my hull.
