Agree Sat is better than Sun weatherwise.

Lots on, but will try to get out Sat with Mrs T approval.
Will plan head Needles then Yarmouth.

Will be solo, so have seats available ex Hamble Point for co-helms
/ human ballast

I now avoid the Folly after being fleeced on mooring / taxi in, and unimpressive food- think the whole place is over-rated.

Good stuff, see you out there. I’ll look out as a pass Hamble Point on my way out.

Interesting re the Folly, only been there once last summer, had a drink and bowl of chips and managed to raft on the walk ashore pontoon. TBH I was quite impressed with the bar at East Cowes when I visited there later in the year.

May join you for a run to the Needles, if I can get the drone off the boat safely it would be an opportunity for some excellent footage. Nachos at the Wheatsheaf is never a bad shout either!

What time are you guessing you’ll leave Hamble?

RIBase
The Folly changed hands a few years ago and never seemed to be able to replicate the quality of the previous landlord and lady.

We may or may not be going out tomorrow depending on the weather, though that seems to be worsening now. If we do go out we'll be leaving Hamble Point at about 1100 and heading to Yarmouth.

I'm hoping to go out tomorrow as well - starting from SDS.
Happy to run to Yarmouth, but as it's spring tides (so high water around lunch time) we could go to the Sloop Inn up Wooton Creek for a change as you can climb over the wall straight into the pub!. (It's only really viable around high tide).

Typically we leave SDS around 11am.

VHF 72 or text if anyone wants to RV for lunch.

I now have to get through a large pile of work over the weekend - all dropped in over last 48 hours, so won't be getting out

Those who do get out, have fun

Had a great (but chilly) run out today.
Thanks to FoxZulu for pulling me off the sand near the wall when we left after lunch as I slightly miscalculated how fast the tide was dropping !

I was out also, but later on, saw you chaps heading back towards Southampton after lunch. Will get out earlier next time and join you.

Was great to see the children out in their Optimists racing, proving the capability of those boats.

Yes, that was a good run out and a cracking lunch at the Sloop Inn too. Always good to try new places.
Sladonians, was that you we passed between Wooton Creek and Cowes? You were a bit closer to shore heading west.
