St Andrews - cruise & BBQ

Hi All,

We are thinking of arranging a cruise / muster out of St Andrews in July 18th/19th.

This is the weekend of the British Open - idea is to get as many boats on TV off the open course Then cruise to somewhere decided on day taking weather in to consideration and boats attending - this could be a few different places.

St Andrews Harbour Trust is looking to promote harbour and install pontoons and have waived any fees.

Early Days right now - but is anybody up to joining us. For the day or weekend - this is open invite fit all SIBS , RIBs , Yachts and Hard Powerboats we will accommodate the plans to suit the people attending.

Please let me know - your thoughts, so we can plan ahead.

Regards

Scott

As always - I'm interested, but that weekend is likely going to be precarously close to us going on holiday, so just pencil me in for the moment.

My memory of St A's is a LOT of sand at low tide - is that going to work with Yachts at anything other than a High Spring?

Hi Scott

Any update on this please? I know it still feels like winter (I was out on Sunday from Cruden Bay with my daughters) and it was like a scene from The Cruel Sea. Absolutely soaked, and temperatures were verging on Baltic!

I can make the Saturday (July 18), but need to be in Arbroath on the Sunday. Great, I'm turning up at a party with the boat, heh-ho!

Maybe later in summer then. Might give you shout once back from holidays/ work etc. wouldn't be hard to have a good day out round there. I'm based in Errol launching from broughty ferry.

I'd be up for it and suspect I could convince another 2 RIBs depending on the timing. We're based out of North Berwick so would meet you en route. Can't do 18th July but later in July / August would be fine.

Hopefully the new date will suit me better. Outboard problems at the moment - magnets parting company with flywheel! have new one but waiting on tools to remove old one
Once sorted I have to locate a faulty sensor.
All this just as the weather picks up!!!

I'm flexible on dates. Doesn't have to be 18th. I just want a trip out of Anstruther or similar harbour and possibly head over to the Isle of May.
