I'm out for a few hours in the area of Cowes/Portsmouth/Calshot on Thursday. Launching about 1100hrs. If anyone is out give us a shout. Channel 77.

Not a bad day given the forecast of heavy showers. Quite windy especially from Gilkicker Point to Portsmouth Harbour entrance around lunchtime.
The afternoon spent blatting around Cowes entrance was good until we eventually headed home and caught the wind again once away from the IOW. Saw quite a few RIBs doing what appeared to be PB 1 and 2s around Calshot and also a RIB which appeared to be delivering a load of fenders from the mainland to Cowes. Is that actually cheaper the the GPO ? Would be a good job though, Except in the middle of winter.
