Solent - November 27th

Dylan and I will be out on the 27th.

If the weathers nice we may go round the island - but what ever we do there will be a visit to a pub for lunch.

Anyone else fancy an end of November cruise?

Hadn't thought about that! Would be quite sad if she was.. gotta get her out once more before she's sold.

Your very welcome Steve & Caroline - I may have to have a spin in your boat though

Tim, hows the boat going?

Farfetched in Hangar

Boat having its '1 year' major service - putting back on any bits which have come adrift! Nothing major.

But.... would cadge a lift if anyone leaving from around Lymington area....

Hi Bruce,

We think we have two more on board but you're welcome if there's space. We could drop in for you!

Are there any more plans for this? Ie. times etc. Hopefully the weather will stay like this, although I've heard that it might get a bit nasty towards the end for the week.

According to the forecast Sunday is, I dare say, looking pretty good at the moment – light northerly winds, pretty cold (it is the end of Nov), maybe a little drizzle early morning.

Shall we go for the usual 11:00 ish gathering at Calshot?

The tides aren’t great for any exotic lunch destinations so it’s probably going to be either Cowes or Yarmouth. In which case do people want to eat before or after going round the island? My gut feeling would be to do the playing in the morning, go round the Island and then head for somewhere like the Folly for a late-ish lunch. I'm happy either way.

Tides (Calshot):
HW 07:37 4.02m
LW 13:20 2.02m
HW 19:58 3.87m
Sunrise - 07:38
Sunset - 15:58

Interested so far...

The Jackeens
Ian M
Andy & Thorper
pressman
Tim M
brucehawsker (boatless - hitching a ride on Merlin?)
Slimtim (Tim you interested in coming for a ride?)

(Sorry if I missed you off the list, there was lots of intrest at the Church last week, but my memorys terrible - let me know if I did)

Usual RIBnet courtesies apply : casual cruise : skippers responsible for their own crafts and crew and a general ethos of looking after each other!

Dan, thanks very much for the offer. Not sure what I'm up to but would certainly be up for meeting in the pub for lunch (either cowes or yarmouth) if I can make it. I iwll keep a close eye on the thread.

Cheers

Tim

We will probably have young Pressman with us so we may draw a line at round island due the temperature but, will definately be in Yarmouth for a bite to eat.

Many thanks Daniel!

We will probably have Zippy and Nauti Buoy on board but Bruce is very welcome too.

Looking forward to it.

I'm also not too keen on going all the way round the island. A buzz around the Solent with lunch in Yarmouth sounds very good though!!

Andy if you can get to Hythe or Calshot you'd be welcome but we're probably not going round the Island
