Solent Cruise after Paddy's Day 20.3.04 #2

Some peeps wanted an update/ summary as the thread is getting long...

OK 1st 4 boats launch in Portsmouth area 10.00 (ish!!!)
Radios Chn 77

Then head for Black Jack Buoy in honour of the new boat!!!!(near Calshot) hoping to be there for 11.00 (!!!)...should be full tide... (Spring)

Meet Southampton Boats ( 5++???) at Black Jack Buoy then off we go to Cowes.

Stop in Cowes...mooring near ferry terminal...to the bar for coffee!!! If the weather's tough we have lunch there or at the Folly!!!! & saunter back home...

If weather's good...we motor on to Yarmouth (doing wheelies so Zebedee can keep up!!!). (The new arrival (Black Jack) will probably be showing off unbearably at this stage!!!)

In to King's Head where we have refreshments /lunch(Whiteshoes style) .

Again...if it isn't too grim we can try going to the Needles (via wavelets at Hurst Castle)...

Then off home we go...

And BBQ in the evening at our gaffe...we think we will have at least 20 peeps ... a chance to put names to all our ugly mugs...(some Forum(s) VIPs will be present...)

BOATS

In (sort of ) alphabetical order!!!

Black Jack (New Arrival)*
Blue Ice
Buzzard (Dino)
Ocean Spear
Pendragon *
Searider is now considering!!!
Searider 11 Phil Davies (tbc)
Suzuki???
Tifino (Is that the name Robin?)*
Top Banana & another?
Zebedee…*

Asterisk denotes Pompey boat.

ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE???COME ALONG...IT'S MADNESS TO BE SURE BUT IT'S PADDY's DAY...EVERYONE IS OIRISH FOR AT LEAST A WEEK!!!

Kathleen & Paul & the rest
(BTW if you haven't seen the thread and are wondering wot we're on about please look here...
http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread....&threadid=4112)

Seasoned Skips please check/ add to info
Ocean Spear will put to sea if conditions are favourable

Your tidal curve shows 21 March - is this the back-stop version or has the day changed. HW Pompey 20/03/04 at 1121ish therefore west going tide down the western Solent from 1021ish. With a forecast WSW F3-4 don't think we will need Hurst for wavelets

Cancel that [must get new glasses]

It's here. Bought it in the duty free shop in Antigua last month. The guy was very keen to get some British pounds

Not that I was thinking of you on holiday...

Mrs W is spending next weekend with Tony Robbins.

Phil Davies mentioned he may be bringing his rib with him as well, so can you add his Searider as 'tentative' to the list?
