Yes. So long as the government don’t change their plans.

This is a new date and a new, shorter trip.

Hi Cumbria yes this is a go a head only if the government don't shut things down again so no unnecessary travel until that date HH

Would love to come but don’t want to be seen as taking the p@ss driving from Gloucestershire to attend with things as they are.

It’s a difficult one because I’ve been desperate to go SIBbing in Scotland ever since deciding to buy one but don’t want to be irresponsible.

What’s the view of some of you local chaps?

We're driving from Lancashire and Cumbria.

I don't believe there are any restrictions on travel now.... but I could be wrong.

The relaxation of rules has lost me now. I don't know what my bubble is, who I can hug or if I can drink inside or out anymore.

Wash your hands and I'm sure you'll be fine

Yeah I guess it’s ok reading the rules but I just want to be sensible (for a change).

So a couple of questions and sorry if these demonstrate me not having read the instructions.

1) I’m coming with a 3.65 excel vanguard with 20hp. Should be fine I guess?
2) are we camping both nights in different locations or will it be out and return to base both days? If the latter I’d probably book an air bnb nearby and come up a day early.
3) what essential gear would you recommend to bring and have onboard in addition to the usual first aid, PLB, LED flares, life jacket and backup life jacket, VHF, chart plotter with depth as well as maps, anchor, warps, lines, dry suit etc as I do when on the Solent.

Thanks again, looking more likely I will be coming I think.

Sounds a through list. But
Fuel for 90mile journeys I think was mentioned
Food & Water. Camping Kit Obvs.

And essentially...

Anyone who's coming along don't forget to bring a bag of firewood. Can't always guarantee driftwood when we camp overnight.

Weather forecast looks good at the moment too

What time are you guys planning? Might tag along with new excel vanguard 395. Won't be camping overnight though so back to Largs on Saturday.

Am I correct in saying.... we are only wild camping on Saturday night, then back to Largs slip by Sunday evening?

I believe that’s the plan. Pieter and I are hoping to stay an extra couple of nights if the weather stays decent.
