Someone overtook me on the A34 that morning towing a blue rib as well. Coincidence?

Yeah, I always wanted one of those big cardboard cheques

All the cheques were sent to Macmillan last week with a covering letter that explains what we have done and how we did it. Unfortunately our Macmillan fund-raising Manager left her job to go on a long sailing trip just before our event and she has not been replaced as yet.

I've been in contact with Macmillan just to make sure that our Justgiving page and our cheques all get counted in the same pot at the Macmillan end.

I also had £10 from Landlord's Mother-in-law so have have put the tenner in my pocket and paid the £10 into our Justgiving account.

So I reckon we are all square, just waiting for a few more donations (it can be quite hard collecting the money) but things look just about wrapped up...

Just waiting to hear back from Macmillan Cancer Support to make sure everything went in there end ok

Total raised
£5,957.00 (This has increased by £10 + £2.50 giftaid)
Gift Aid
£1,203.12
Cheques
£446.20 (This has been reduce by £10 as this cash has been paid into our Justgiving page)

Grand total = £7,606.32

Magazine article

I have had a long conversation with Simon Everett who is trying to write an article for a magazine regarding the round IOW. He needs full names (first and Surnames) for this as it will look a bit silly saying things like 'here is Bob on his boat' etc. Here is a list of the the boats and people he has pictures of so please PM me or email me the info to help the article go ahead. Even if your boat is not below or there is no pic on Page 80 of this thread he would still like to hear from you. Boat type, name, crew and skipper full names and maybe an extra line to two would be great.
PM or email.
ben@jestersmotorcycles.com

From Simon:
  • Hunton 904
  • Scorpion cabin rib
  • Renegade – great shots with lady helm.
  • Grey Osprey with orange suited photographer
  • Other Cobra with black/red panels on seats and red rubbing strake(inboard).
  • Orange Tornado with Suzi 2stroke
  • Avon 4m solo – mad hatter!
  • Orange Avon Adventurer with 3 aboard – 2 ladies in stern.
  • Grey tubed Stingher called Otillia
  • Orange Tornado 5.8 with old style Yam
  • Light grey tubes with RED lifeline patches – I think it was a Ribcraft Suzi 4stroke. Forward leaning A frame.
  • Little blue XS with Mercury
  • Alex’s grey Ribcraft – crew coming past Needles? (It changed during the day – 4 of them at this stage).
  • Medline with Etec and hordes of kids aboard!
  • No idea what it is, but a Flying Fish logo on side of console.....whole family!
  • Yellow Scorpion handed over chq.
  • Stingher plus 300 Verado
  • All grey Vipermax with F250 Yam. (5 aboard)
  • Blue Ribcraft with name on front of console “......tander” Contender? Bystander?
  • Blue Tornado with Merc 2-stroke?
  • Yellow Ring
