A note from Avoset

Hi Guys

Looks very unlikely that we'll now be joining you on 29 June as I was rushed into Bournemouth Hospital on Friday for emergency laser surgery to fix a detached retina. It will be two weeks before I know how successful the operation has been but, in the meantime, I've got to relax to the max and do nothing which might knock or dislodge the newly reconnected retina. Ribbing is a no no unfortunately!

I'm therefore sat at home feeling very sorry for myself and learning how to self-administer three different lots of eye-drops every four hours and missing all the nice boating weather.

All being well, a little gentle boating may be possible in around six weeks .......

Enjoy yourselves in the meantime.

David

David, Dude, you will be missed, get well soon

[QUOTE learning how to self-administer three different lots of eye-drops every four hours [/QUOTE]

I think a snifter of Talisker should be prescribed with every eye-drop (but taken orally not optically)

Grimalkin, you and Mrs A will be missed on the trip but we know you'll be there in spirit.

I'm sure you'll be back on the water soon. Al lthe best for a speedy recovery.

Photo my boat for Macmillan

Things are looking good for me to make this cruise on Sunday.
I will be driving down from Newcastle, and I expect to be
out on the Saturday as well..... am trying out a new prop.
Anyone about that see's me please say hi.
Looking forward to meeting a lot of fellow ribnetters.

I wanted some pictures of my Rib, so if anyone is out and about with their camera,
I will donate £10 per picture to Macmillan,
for the best 10 shots of my Rib I get emailed after the event.

Andy

I'll have my trusty Nikon on board and will be taking LOTS of pics of as many of the boats as I can. I'll upload them to photo bucket in low res and if anyone wants a high res version I can supply for a suitable donation....
