Really sorry but we have to cancel, a family commitment has reared up that we can't duck, so I've cancelled the Gazelle.

Hope it all goes well, please don't post any photos, I'm gutted enough as it is

It looks like 20th Aug is Moelfre life boat day and they usually put on a good show.
Sorry I wont be making the round island trip. If another day is organised maybe a couple of weeks earlier I can come along.

It starts at 10am but its an all day event, I'm sure this can be incorporated into our cruise agenda Paul. here's the link.

The life boats are usally launched at around 1pm. They do some close in work near the watching crowds who view from the rocks and boats. MOB, capsize drills etc to wow the crowds. The rescue helicopter then comes along from RAF Valley(weather and schedule permiting) this then does some fancy winching from the fast moving life boat.....Prince William could even be the chopper pilot....He was said to be there last year in a seperate smaller helicopter! The show lasts about an hour. They usally finish off by soaking evryone with water canon.

I will comfirm the launch time of the life boats over the next week....

Trouble is it's school hols. Bound to be a low turn out. I'm away July and tides are right that week end. Plus I'd like to see a bit of moelfre day. Think it's me Tony and kerny with a couple of maybes.

I may well do a run in sept as well though before we take her out. Mid to end of mont.
