The met office have it as showers in the morning drying in the afternoon, and a good solid force 4 round Holyhead. Mostly northerly though so the bay should be in the lea?

If it's a northerly 4 we should all be fine in the Strait and round to Holyhead, then a beam on sea on the North side of the island, and a following sea as we run from the mouses down to Puffin Island. It's all good!!

If you guys get round to us in the morning, we'll know the North side is fine.

Its not so much the seas as the distance that puts me off. My comfortable cruising speed is about 20-22 knots (in flat water) which is about 4 hrs right round, which might be a bit much for the burds' first trip out on the sea.

We cruise at a similar speed, so that's no issue.

It is a fair distance though right round. More like 5-6 hrs with stops, unless flat calm. however a run from Menai with a few of us to meet the masses at Caernarfon, then out over the bar and round to Pilots cove will be a sheltered run through some awesome scenery. You could then head back remembering your outward navigation. It would also be approaching high water on your return passage so navigation a piece of pi**. That's a good 2 hrs and would be an awesome first trip out for anyone!

Pilots cove, a good lunch destination.

You know, once upon a time what happened on tour stayed on tour.

Now,

What happens on a cruise gets plastered all over the forum

Let the good times roll, can't wait. I want to set off now and its only Tuesday

The speed you drive it might not be a bad idea

If I was a few years younger I'd be drinking my way down
But Nemanda is already down and waiting, so I'm in front of you

All booked in spoke with Chris S last Fri and what a jolly nice chap he is to. PeterM, Whisper and I are at the travelodge on Fri only. Any recommendations on places to eat? Those who are coming on Fri it will be great to meet up for a few scoops.

For those who are launching with Chris was thinking of getting to Ty Calch for 9 on Sat is that reasonable for the RV at 10?

Don't want to waste any beer time in the traffic...
