David, sorry to hear you wont be making the trip. May be next time! Have a safe trip.

I have just spoken with the Harbour Master - very nice gentleman!

We can launch as long as we can show our insurance certificates. The launch fee is £15.00 and they have a registration system in place but that is done on the day - no forms to complete so just make sure you have £15.00 and a valid insurance certificate.

It was nice and sunny on Anglesey this weekend. Let's hope for a repeat performance on Saturday.

For those joining us can you pm me by Wednesday evening to confirm you are coming and with your mobile number so we can communicate as need be?

Just to reconfirm we are proposing to meet in the Beacons Car Park, Conway from 10.00a.m. and hoping to depart slipway for 11.00a.m.

Dont forget your launch fee of £15.00 and your insurance certificate.

Metcheck.com's weather for Saturday isn't that bad. 13 degrees and 9 mph winds.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Just back from...........

....holiday and glad to see it's still on. Unfortunately my attendance will be dictated by the weather as I'm unable to get assistance with looking after my daughter for the day and whilst she loves Ribbing and has more Musto than me - I know she would not enjoy a rough and tumble, cold and wet slog around the island. Therefore, if it's fine we'll be there - I'm never late so if I ain't there by 0930 I ain't coming.

By way of clarification, when I slip off the A55 and head for the Marina - where is the launch site ?

Me Me i am assuming you are coming from Abersoch on A55. Exit at Conway, just before Conway tunnel. At top of slip turn left and follow the road around and down to mini roundabout. Golf course on your left. Take left at mini roundabout and follow the road, You will end up in the Beacons Car Park and slipway.

I'm definitely coming. My girlfriend lives on Anglesey so, as previously stated, I shall be launching from Beaumaris. Will arrange to meet you all on the slipway, if that's OK.

Rachel, my mobile is 07768 153 386. I will have it turned off during the day this week to fool the office into thinking I'm still in Germany on business. I actually returned this evening with a view to skiving the rest of the week on Anglesey The problem is further compounded by the fact that my girlfriend lives in a 200 year old Welsh stone house with 3ft thick walls and reception is non-existent! Probably best to leave a message and I'll get back to you. Could you pm me your mobile number please.

ps. MeMe tells me that Cheadle Hulme is the posh part of Manchester, bless him, but then compared to a drug dealer infested council estate in Worsley I would imagine that even West Ham high street looks inviting

Is it a problem for people if weather necessitates changing cruise to Sunday at short notice?

Can't do Sunday either. I guess if it looks too bumpy for the round trip, we can still do a more local run in sheltered waters from Conwy??

We can't really do Sunday either.

I agree that if it is too lumpy we can still do something.

We have a new member somewhere out there who wants to join us on Saturday - welcome Humper 2!

We believe he has a boat load of enthusiasts He however seems to be keeping a low profile at the moment, he could be a bit shy

I'm sure if we try we can make him feel welcome.

hi rache, me..... shy..........? You know better! just a bit technophobic. The weather does`nt look great for Saturday with sea state moderate to rough and wind blowing 5 to 6 occassionally 7.Are the windermere boats still coming? As usual I`ve got a boatfull and not all experienced so could be a bit of a trial.

Hi,

I think I may be out of this due to the state of the weather...

Its looking a little windy for the full trip. If I do come up to Conwy I will launch much later in the day (when there's more water on the slip) and either go round the Orme or wimp completly and go up the river.

Rache, if you plan another round island trip when its calm, then my smaller rib might cope better. Have a good trip to all who go.

Cheers

Peter C

Phil Davies and friend
Deetox
Me Me
Humper 2 (with a crowd)
Graham H with Barry

Im heading off to Anglesey shortly so this is my last thread. We will have to rely on the faithfull mobiles!

Don't forget your insurance certificates. See you all tomorrow.
