Clyde Cruisin

Hi

just caught onto this site, Looking for some ribbers to learn more of the "ropes".

I got a Humber 5m Destroyer 75 hp 2 stroker an cant even figure out how much fuel it would use on a decent days stoating around Bute and such. I currently got two 25 litre tanks.

I'd be up for some fine weather stuff out of largs this weekend or next (sounds a bit wimpie, but ya gotta start somewhere).

drop us a line when you can.

Eh up

yeh just keep your eyes on any of the threads about the Clyde or the Lochs and you'll be sure to hook up with some one and go dicking about and have good fun out on the water.

Fingers crossed mine will be in the kip soon.......

But there will be bbq's and stuff sorted for up loch striven etc

One of you fuel tanks should take you up loch striven and back, maybe if your full throttle all the time you may have to swap tanks onto the 2nd , but one tank should see you get a fair distance , there and back ok, just fill the 2 see how far you get on one then swap and head back in to the marina, better off trying that though when not out on your own the now tho , I know what its like when you 1st get a rib and you dont want to do anything alone

Anyways someone will give you a shout , if not just holler

Cheers

Dave

ey up Craig...

Never managed out this weekend... took the boat out tonight for a quick blast to clean some of the crap off the hull.

Will be good to see some pics of your boat in action.

Think we might be planning a bbq and possible camping trip to loch striven this weekend coming if you fancy it. Really depends on the weather tho.

Think the weather is gona be good over the weekend, so the loch striven camping trip is still on!

If anyone is out on the Clyde and fancies meeting up, we will be the group of lads with a big fire, plenty of beer and some tents pitched on the left side of the loch as you head up it.

I was out across on Arran, didn't realise there was a crowd out at the weekend.
Was sitting in Lochranza watching the Waverley scooting around and fishing off the North of Arran (never caught anything!)

Had my brother and family over from Sydney for the last couple of weeks so decided to get them up at 0530 on Saturday to sample a bit of the Clyde out of Largs.
Was off Arran (nice couple of porpoise) and into Millport ( Fish/chips & ice cream) on Saturday - and then on Sunday up to Greenoch/Holy Loch/Dunnoon - before heading back for a late lunch in Rothsay on Bute - lovely place and facilities ................. also spotted the Waverley
Great weekend ........... but wish I'd thought to check out this post before - only saw one other RIB who tied up at Millport just after we got in.
