Rib Raid 2006

I did this in 2003 but i have'nt had the chance since moving back to england but i will be making the 3 and half hour trip up to portpatrick from barrow-in-furness (northwest coast) to see this as it just gets bigger each year...it's an amazing experiance to cross from donaghadee to portpatrick in the middle of 50 other ribs of all sizes... Anyway have a look at the site and if u can get your pride and joy(dont forget the wife!!) over to northern ireland, i would highly recommend it..

Rib Raids 1 and 2

Remember this year there are two events

The regular trip from Donnaghdee to Portpatrick

http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread....hlight=ribraid

This years event takes place ,launching on Saturday in Donnaghdee
Registering etc and running over to Scotland and back on the Sunday

however what makes this years event much more interesting is the weekend event begining this weekend with a ribraid ending in Portaferry.
For those who have never been to Strangford Loch, it has to be one of the most outstanding places of natural beauty in Northern Ireland, the event will involve visiting the various clubs on the loch and a chance for more on the water activities.
The first event will concide with the Portaferry Gala week, which ends the weekend of the Ribraid see here

http://www.portaferrygala.com/

Look at the weather we are having , if you have a rib, then get yourself up here and promise you wont be dissapointed,
My memories of the previous Ribraids, is that you are always welcome, and always extremelly well looked after, the cost of participating, in no way reflects the value for money and smiles per miles you go home with

Have fun

Have fun folks. Laura and I still remember fondly our experience with Gavin & the Jackeens (amongst others) on the hysucat back in '04. I still have the ribraid waterproof and suspect I'm fairly unique in being the only person in Canada to wear one!
