I row for The Helford River. So much rowing has been cancelled due to the wrong type of wind this summer!! I would take my Rib up to Fowey but it is near impossible to anchor without the (That will be £14 please police) coming down on me. If anyone knows if it is possible to anchor on the shale banks under the walls let me know. I am not bothered if it is high and dry at low tide.

I remember going down the river from Gweek when Helford launched their 1st boat in the mid 90's. I lived in the village at the time.
The Girlfriend rows for Fowey and has rowed for Charlestown and Rock too. Did my 1st Scillies as a spectator back in May and loved it. Just need to find the time to start rowing myself, hoping to join Charlestown in the spring if life has settled down a bit, I know quite a few of the folks there.

Looking to sneak on up in Hey Joe on Thurs, as we missed out on our RA fix in Fal. last week.

Our plan is to launch at Fowey in the morning and head round to Lantic Bay to make sandcastles and eat pasties. In the afternoon we'll head back to Polruan for ice cream and/or hot chocolate as appropriate, followed by some serious crab-bothering from the pontoon. Then we'll mill around the harbour playing "are the Red Arrows here yet" until they arrive, or I throw the kids overboard in despair, whichever comes first.

We'll be around on the water all day.
What's the latest re Arrows times?
Will be watching from the water.
H. M. didn't know.
We'll buzz over to Lantic Bay and have a nose.
Boy's are set on a run to Mevagissey just before lunch.
Have to wait and see how effective reveille is first!!!

We'll be three up in a Bombard 380 with a a white Johnson outboard. Come and say hello if you see us!

Was over in the Rib today very briefly. Managed to find a cracking deal on launch/recover fairly locally. £10 for both car and trailer parking £5, refundable if you use the local cafe.

Launch after 9am, recover before 6pm. Tractor/beach. Google Black Rock Beach Club if anybody is interested. Just off Looe.

Nice. Looks calmer for you than it was for us. Kind of lumpy for the run back to Falmouth a couple of weeks back.

In that case I'm sure Admiral Garside and the rest of the St Mawes flotilla will have plenty of heroic tales to tell!
