Pwllheli - Arklow - 12 or 13th Feb

Who's up for Pwllheli - Arklow 12 or 13th Feb (which ever is forecast) ?

Leave early doors and return the same day possibly overnight if forecast is good?

Who evers coming needs very, very warm clothing.

I would fancy it if the weather looks decent enough to risk the drive down from Newcastle the night before. Also living up here means warm clothes not required, thick blood you see..

petrol

Jono

Let us know if you will need petrol and we will see what can be done.

At worst petrol is available on marina in dun Laoghaire which is only an hour away.

I would think you need at least 160 litres + 30% spare on 115hp 2 Stroke ???

I'm working to the rule that my 90hp (carbs) and 140hp (efi) use 1 lite per nm and a 2 stroke uses twice as much.

I dont how far the petrol station is as last time i did it there and back on what i had on board, our Irish freinds are helping.

Are the Jakeens coming?

Arklow refueling

Jono

Have you considerred running up to dun Laoghaire and refueling at the Marina?

The time saved in the refueling could be worth the extra miles and the lack of hassle with drums etc.

The plan is a 1 dayer on the sunday, leaving at 8am on the dot and there for midday, lunch and a guiness and back before dark.

Boat storage and B & B are not a problem in Pwllheli for the sat or sun night.
