21st July there are a couple of Jet Ski clubs out in force doing the IoW in aid of the RNLI

Here's a link http://www.solentskiers.org.uk/ssa%20index.htm

60 SKI's potentially launching Daedalus slipway in Lee on Solent.

this is now looking very very unlikely for us as i am still waiting to hear back from avonride on a decision on my axle situation. which is a real pisser as we had arranged a kids free weekend and were itching to get out in the sun for some fun.

hopefully again soon when i have some new wheels!!

Will your new axle have the same bearings as the old one?

yes sealed bearings for sure.....

i would have had to wait a long time to get an axle made up with roller bearings so to be honest this will be fine and it will get me back on the road quickly and safely which is the most important option

May be worth keeping the good hub from the original axle as a spare, along with a big socket and an even bigger length of pipe. Oh and a new hub nut.

Not too bad a day. Met up with Lucky Ribster. First off went to see the start of the Jet Ski charity run. Brave boys and gals going round the IOW in wet wetsuits. Then it was a quick pop down to the Needles to meet them coming from the other way. Saw quite a few RIBs but struggled with the elusive Ospreys

Pic 1 shows the Jet Skis forming up at HMS Daedalus.

Pic 2 shows the Jet Skis rounding the Needles.

Pic 3 is not something that should be done to any car.

After hunting and scouring for an Osprey all day. Little did I realise I'd actually seen one and here she is in all her fine feathered glory. very shy though didn't want to speak to us.
