Sorry I could not make it on Saturday folks... I did manage to get out for a run on the Sunday over the Bar and back just to give the boat its first trip out of the season. Although I did not manage to meet any of you I did see some of you on my return to Menai Bridge I saw Domino. I was the white Brig recovering in front of you on the slip.

Again sorry I did not make it because it looked a good trip out but maybe next time we can all go around the island again and have some fun.

Andy

The mist and general grey murkiness helped with the whole SAS image, but the GF insisted on a back and RED drysuit, never mind.

Big thanks to the organisers, a great day out, with all the boats performing well given the conditions.

A final apology to the couple in the Lencraft, I don’t think the Osprey has ever produced a wave so big, which has landed with such precision on the heads of two unsuspecting ribsters.

Clearly I was spending too much time looking at the bloke on Nitrox waving his arms and camera around (should have guessed he was Rib mag).

Anyway bring on the next Cruise (and the weather we got on Sunday).

Boat back safe on the mooring, ready for the evening fun.

Actually, 15, plus Paul, plus the SAS, plus 2 Aircraft, 19! We'll have to break 20 next time. Which we'd done if we'd set off on time, not early! Apologies again.

And the pictures just keep coming. Thanks all for a great weekend, topped off by the Sunday run with Kerny and George, made all the better by watching Kerny walk on water at the entrance to Canaervon Marina. (That had nothing to do with us by the way ) Sadly a missed photo opportunity.

thanks for organising a great day out. on saturday it was a fantastic experience for all aboard rib tickler cruising up the straits with all the members towards nefyn. also it was reassuring over 70 miles that the more experienced guys were always looking out for us novices, over that distance

thanks again p4awl

Bradosh, you're welcome. The fact there are numbers is the main thing. It has to be said your boat looked like they were having the most fun! Smiles all the way from what i saw and everyone kitted out ready for the weather. Excellent day, cheers for coming. There's a photo of you in red wharf too i think, with Yoyo.

You're welcome george, your efforts both on the water and to get to the pub with the family were outstanding. Im just glad the children were safe and enjoyed it, if a little tired. Made the day seeing you and kerny airborne on numerous occasions.... once the family were on board domino! Those two boats handled it brilliantly.

Glad you all had a good weekend George with us northern boys and girls we would love to see you all back up here on the next HUMBER P4VWL and tony t cruise, your wife and kids were lovely, and we enjoyed your company on sunday as well, cos we had a "reet" good day playing on the straits watching them seals. Only mishap was Neil Mccririck's bad navigation skills which got me feet wet getting of that sandbank going into Caernarfon harbour.

Just back home after 11 days on Gods isle. Thanks to Paul and all the Ribneters for such a fab day!.

I think my 4.85 Menai was proberbly the smallest boat out on the Saturday Nefyn run. Although the ride was a little lumpy at times the boat handled it very well with 3 on board. A big thanks to the other boats for keeping an eye on us.

On the way back into the straights we crossed over to visit Llanddwyn island Pilots cove, seems to be a good place for a beer and picnic later in the season!.

In all, from launch to retreive at Beaumaris I reckon 69 miles is what I did on the day, this is by far the longest passage that I have made. Hopefully I will go round the Isle later in the season......when I've saved up for the fuel

Thanks again all.
