N.Wales Menai Bridge to Abersoch Fri Sept 10th and Sat 11th

Looks like we are on

Intending to cruise from Menai Bridge round the Llyn Peninsula to Abersoch, stay over on board on a mooring and then back on the Sat.

Weather is looking like SW then W winds of max 16mph dropping to 10mph. Force 4 ish, so it may be a bit lumpy, but going to give it a go.

High tide at the bridges is around 12.15, big tides 7.6m! Following tide out round to Abersoch. Then return with the following tide on the flood for high tide at the bridges again around 1pm for celebratory drink in the Gazelle.

Setting off around 10.30 in a yellow and black rib, you won't miss us. 2 up and intending to cruise at 25-30mph weather providing. Arriving Abersoch about 2.5 hrs later. 60 mile journey. (Quick stop at Morfa Nefyn for a first orders beer!) Pubs in Abersoch during the afternoon evening.

Staying over on the boat (must be mad in bivi bags etc!) or on the beach. We're not getting any younger, it's now or never!

If you wish to cruise alongside, post on here. Will have 'net on the boat (iphone). Or call on 16 tomorrow. Or just pull up alongside!

Obviously plans may change depending on weather. If bad by the tripods or Caernarfon bar, we may head back up to the sheltered NE of Anglesey and take a trip round to Moelfre or Conwy. Flexible plans.

If forecast worsens for the Sat, we may head back after a couple of scoops. Or if really bad when we wake up, get a lift back to Anglesey (I'm sure we could give others a lift if travelled with us), get the trailer and tow it back.

Short notice, but let me know. Come on TonyT, you know you want to!!

Yep, short notice Mate, pity might have arranged summat!
Just a thought
HW at Bardsey is about 10.00 hours
Could be a bit 'going on' there by the time you arrive!!

Just looked at XC Weather
Prediction is a bit blowy at that time
Then again
Weather forecasts

Nother thought for anyone interested
Good time to 'eyeball' the Swellies tomorrow at 19.30 hours.
It's gonna be showing all the rocks an stuff if the wind predictions an atmospheric pressure an all that there are correct

Sorry short notice, couldn't help really due to others work.

Cheers fir the tips. I have Barmouth HW at 10.09 and LW 5.39

Figure LW at bardsey about 6. Should pass around 12.30-1. Could be fun with tide running at tripods!
