Had two trials and not performed well,,, but Sussed it out huge pressure chamber with air and a secret style pump. Ow yersss 15 mtrs with some oooomphhhhh

Anyway, at the risk of complete thread drift I hear congratulations are in order because Whackwoody's bid's been accepted by the Caernarfon Harbour Trustees.

He's prolonging his season and getting his go juice paid for by undertaking to lay the channel marker buoys across the bar in the autumn. Crackin' result for him when you think about it because if he hadn't hit the banks so many times (during the season) the channel would still be where it was when the Harbourmaster marked it back in the spring.

now that would be worth watching, Whacky walking on water again

Exactly what I was gonna say kerny, bring the dog with you. If you don't want to do that I know a very good kennel in Bangor I can recommend at £9 a day. Wish I had known about these kennels earlier in the year as our local kennels cost more than our own accommodation when we went away earlier in the year (I certainly know how to treat the missus, LOL)

The boat / helicopter demo will kick off between 12:00 - 12:30 ish but this is all subject to weather / tide. To get there in plenty of time I reckon we would have to set off from Ty Calch at 10:00am. Only problem is the low tide (0.8m) is at 10:00am (at menai bridge) and as a novice I have always restricted myself to 3 hours either side of high tide when on the straits. We'll be moving off station in similar time to you passing us. You'll be fine in Rib, just pass under centre aiming at white triangle on Wales bank, then once the poles under the bridge align, follow that transient keeping white poles tightly in line, round prices point, go inside the pole/rock equidistant to shore, move out towards the island as you pass the boathouse and remain on the isle half of the strait as you pass the cottage, passing midway under the bridge, veering right afterwards.

he's tried that approach previously, luckily enough it was a sandbank last time, maybe not so lucky in amongst the Swirlies by the way, he's also got previous form with the lumpy bits that afternoon we had an extended coffee break at the Gazelle, if it hadn't been for Rocky there would have been three ribs high n dry
