Looking for a charter in Edinburgh

Hi there,

A few of us are planning a trip to Inchkeith island in the next few months/weeks, and were wondering if anyone would be kind enough to drop us off/pick us up the next day, for a price obviously.

We're a bunch of marine scientists, so most of us are used to boats and have RYA licences. I would take mine, but it's all the way over on the west coast. All the 'official' charters seem a bit pricey!

If anyone is willing, or even has any advice on who to contact, I'd be grateful.

Thanks!

Not knowing what quotes were, one option maybe a bareboat charter of a RIB and if a secure mooring on Inchkeith then boat only does one trip. I can understand prices , the island is a fair run out, so with crew, boats and fuel I bet they are not as bad as you think. Possible bareboat option- Scottish Rib Charter

C2 - I think that boat is on the wrong side of the country so probably won't be interested unless there is serious money involved.

Curry - firstly you need to realise that running a professional charter operation is expensive, boats, repairs, training, staff, fuel, insurance, safety equipment, inspection / certification all cost money. If you are asking someone to take payment for their service without all of the above then they will be breaking the law. If you are just looking for someone who might be able to do it without needing a whole day charter then perhaps some of the seafari people might. e.g. Sea.fari Forth. Another possibility might be Calypso (I think that's the right name) who do the charter work for the NLB on the Forth.
