Finally Moving to FL: WTK RIB Crossing to Bimini

The stars and planets have finally aligned, I'm retiring to FL this month.

I'd like to know about a crossing to Bimini, maybe beach camp around the Bahamas for a few days.

Just when I asked before I was told the crossing was possible, when done safely during certain times of the seasons. Its not a trip I'd attempt to do alone whether with inboard or outboard RIB, IPIRB or not. Don't tempt the West corner of the Bermuda Triangle, ya know?
