Hi Julian,

I am still using my Rib, was out on the water on Saturday, now I know how an ice cream cone feels.

Sadley a fisherman lost his life that day, he fell overboard, no lifejacket. A stark reminder for us all I think.

I am certainly keen to keep going throughout the Winter. I need to get more hours on my log book.

I live local (pompey) and have access to lauching facilities from local club slipway plus good beer afterwards. I can even do a weekday subject 24hrs notice.

My mobile No is 07761 864043..

Cheers

Hi Ageing Youth

Just goes to show how important having the proper gear is. I too will be out through the winter. I'll give you a call closer to the time. We can have a blast around and a bite to eat etc.

Look forward to meeting up

Julian

Julian,

That's very kind, I'd love to come along (with fleece & thermals!). All I can offer in return is a place in my SIB for the RIBnet conference!

Happy New Year,

Richard.

Feb Cruise

Hi Julian,

May I sugest we meet up in the camber dock, launch & car park facilities. Should be very quiet this time of year.

As I am very new to cruising, is there anything I can do to assist?

Do you have a contact no. for a quick chat to talk over the day's events/logistics.

Cheers

Feb Cruise

Hi Everyone,

I have looked at the Tide Times for the W/End 22nd & 23rd. High Water Portsmouth is 0230hrs which means we would all be punching against the tide if we left at reasonable hour. Should the wind be in a westerly direction could make it wind over tide.

I am still keen to get out on the water but as this would be my first cruise away from home waters, I do not want to be left behind by bigger/faster boats or for that matter slow anyone down.

I am quite happy to hitch a lift from Portsmouth if anyone still wants to go.

cheers
