Hi all,
Clipper round the world yachts calling to the city as part of a huge maritime festival. Lots and lots planned both on and off shore.
We have had a great response from yachties with over 50 vessels already booked to visit but I would like to see some motorboats/ribs!
The festival has events for all the family, on water there are sailing taster sessions, tall ships, tour boats, Vikings, naval vessels as well as the clipper yachts themselves. On the weekend of the 7th 8th July a zap cat grand prix will take place.
Ashore there are markets, stalls, the largest ever continental market in northern Ireland, concerts, fireworks to name but a few events. It's gonna be great!!!
A lot of the yachts plan on sailing with the clipper fleet as they depart on Saturday, that's when the zap cats start, so a great time for a few ribs to arrive!!!
Pontoon berths are avail at only a fiver a night.
If anyone wants to arrange a rib cruise, the organiser can berth for free. I spoke to redbayboats today and gave them some info.
