Channel Crossing - this weekend

Just a heads-up we’re 99% going across this weekend if anyone wanted to tag along or meet up at one of the islands. Still making final arrangements - times / itinerary etc cheers Lee 07798 621721

We’re meeting some friends in Alderney Saturday morning for breakfast so going to have to miss your feast Have fun!

I know it was short notice but I now have three passengers capable of sharing the driving. Weather looks OK so the crossing should be enjoyable for all

Channel Crossing - this weekend

Superb day. Blues sky, flat seas and zero wind. Thanks Lee for suggesting this trip. This would have been a good weekend in Alderney perhaps another time. Photos and GoPro clips to follow.

Was fun
Just got home, crossing the shipping channel a couple of hours ago surrounded by a pod of dolphins, leaping out of the water and playing in our bow wave - my 11yr old daughter was very excited!!

What wonderful benign conditions, hope you enjoyed the crossing.

We were in Totland Bay on Sunday; could have easily been the Caribbean !

Lol, was a good day - you get back to Southampton dry stack on time?

The Alderney wildlife is always entertaining, the seals, puffins, dolphins and drunk locals!
Must move there one day

I want to go for a weekend and hire an electric bike to tour the island and also to take the train ride - this is a must. we were there on Saturday and the train only ran on Sundays. Lots to see for sure and this now will have to be in 2019

We’d be up for a long weekend, was a little frustrating leaving last Saturday evening when we potentially could have stayed - however had prior arrangements to go to Bournemouth air show on the Sunday.

Roll-on 2019 and a nice long weather window, or two

We had a fantastic day out to Alderney and back with Andre and Mike C on Grey Mist, Andre's Parker Baltic 800. Compared to our little 6 metre RIB she was very stable whilst still being agile. The benefits of the shock mitigation flooring was very noticeable too - no sore knees or back after what to us was a long passage.

Shame we missed the Dolphins but at least the weather played ball. Thankyou once again Andre, it was a super experience for newbies like us.
