Hi Tony,in answer to your question, the distance from Watchet harbour to Lundy is 67 nm. WE intend to leave from 'Appledore' around 10am on the 24th,although this is some what flexable,to account for delays or problems that may arise.
This flexability [especialy with tide times over the two days] is not afforded to us by useing Watchet as a starting point.Obviously, your cicumstances may differ...I hope this helps, and look forward to hearing from you.

Disapointingly Lundy trip postsponed...but

Unfortunately the planned Autumn cruise to Lundy has had to be postponed. After a few good weeks of weather, the Bristol Channel forecast is not conducive to a good weekends Ribbing! So, after a good deal of thought for now,the plans are shelved.
However, we will, Matt h, Myself,Chris, and possibly two other Ribs be making our way to the Solent for the weekend if anyone is out and about and would like to join us.We'll be staying in Hythe, and going to the IOW,probably on both days.
Should at least give Matt plenty of opportunity to get plenty of 'air' in the new Rib!!

Sorry to hear about the postponement, but wise decision.

If your around the Portsmouth area on the Sunday, have a look over the wall, as I will be running the Great South and need all the encouragement I can get.

Enjoy the Solent chop !

Thanks for the interest. All the bits North of the legs are fine and even the legs are returning to normal. It was a great day, the first dry one in 5 years, the strong wind being the only downside, as it was a headwind for the last 2 miles.

Anyway finished 2566th overall (22,000 starters) and 212th for age group (old). Over the Great Manchester, Great North and Great South, I have raised just over £1000 for the Anthony Nolan Trust and 27 people have said they will join the Bone Marrow register.

My thanks go to all those on here who have given their support. Would so have loved to been out there playing off Hurst, the pictures and video were great
Steve
