Well my motors fixed now, bit of a hollow victory as it decided to fix itself, before we had a chance to properly diagnose it! No doubt it will come back next time I try and organise a big trip

I had ruled this trip out also as I've not made proper plans due to the uncertainty, plus the weed I've picked up from a month in the marina means it would cost me another 100 quid in fuel

But I'm still keen to pop my channel cherry, couple of ideas I've had is going over prior to the Alderney cruise and coming back with the floptilla, or maybe going to the Seawork show. Or maybe just any weekend with a good forecast, I'm sure always there'll be plenty to do and a few ribnetters about on the Solent.

Interested Keith or anyone else?

Yep, absolutely. If we get a good forecast showing up sometime, then I'm more than happy to give it a go. If the Floptilla cruise makes it across, then I'm up for following them back. I'd be happy making that decsion the night before if needs be.
