Annual Nacho Run - Sunday 5th Jan 2020

Hi Guys
As usual I'm hoping to do the annual Nacho Run again next Jan. As per tradition, weather permitting, it'll be the first Sunday of the new year, which makes it Sunday 5th Jan 2020.

The Wheatsheaf in Yarmouth (IOW) are sort of expecting us, and I'll let them know rough anticipated numbers much nearer the time.

I'll aim to be leaving Southampton Dry Stack around 11am, so should get to Yarmouth about midday.

As usual, all are welcome - it's not a "proper" organised cruise, so everyone is responsible for their own passage planning and for making their own go / no go decision if the weather is iffy!

On the day let's go for VHF 08, with 72 as a backup in case there's a race using 08.

Feel free to text, whatsapp or call my mobile if there are any last minute issues.

Trevor

As with the last couple of years I'll be off in Moscow with my wife over the Nacho run, so will sadly miss the Nacho run. But will hopefully be on the water out of Poole in the days before and after Christmas (and probably even during Christmas!) making the most of the RIB, if anyone else is out and about locally.

Hi Trevor, and all.

New to the forum and site so forgive my naive question but what is the 'Nacho Run'?

Keen to join in, will leave from Swanwick near the fuel pontoon opposite the Jolly Sailor at around 10:30ish to get over to Yarmouth for Mid-day. Put me down for x2 please, maybe a third but I will let you know.

Hi Sladonians,

Thr Nacho Run is an early Jan rib rally to the Wheatsheaf at Yarmouth for amean plate of Nachos (or any other tasty lunch).

I have my boat at home in Gloucester over the winter but trail down for this run- great chance e to meet up with other intrepid ribnetters.

several of the Solent based boat will RV off Calshott & run down in a loose group.

It's a great way to blow away the post Christmas cobwebs

Look forward to meeting you

LT

Ah brilliant, have booked it in the diary. Just noticed your location, a fellow from the 'Wolds'.

Look forward to it, and to clearing the head the day before going back to work on the Monday.
