A quote from the Met Office, and I'll take "...northern parts of the UK..." as North Wales!

"The Meteorological Office is cautious about rumours that record warmth later in the summer will reward the country for the season's poor start, although plenty of sunshine is expected in June. The Met's maximum 30-day forecast says: "The best of any dry, settled and sunny weather will be over northern parts of the UK at the start of June."

This coming Saturday afternoon 26th, see's the annual Great Straight raft race, which is always worth a few laughs.

The home made rafts (some very dodgy looking) launch from Port Dinorwic - Y Felinheli and race through the swellies onto the finish line at Menai Bridge.

Hopefully I will be on the water taking a closer look.

I may trailer my boat over to Pwllheli or even Barmouth for a day out and change of scenery during that week, possibly Wed 6th.

Oh no, nightmare. I guess that screaming, shouting, crying and kicking it hasn't helped?

Saturday could be Skerries day. Sunny, light northerly winds and high tide at Dinorwic circa 08:30.

Hmmm, may try to make it. Slim chance at mo.

Can I ask why HT at 8.30am is good? Does that mean slack at 9-10 at skerries or something?

Tony, gutted. Ours keeps dropping revs for a second, does it a couple of times every hour or so. Dealer thinks its a coil on way out. There's six, so it can run on three.

Had a great day out today with the torch!
