The island's accommodation is getting full already for that weekend, I think there is an angling thing on as well as the other bits and bobs discussed.

I will PM some details from the chap with the B&B...

Water-taxi

We are just completing the licensing for the year so it should go in the water in the next week or so. If you rock up before then we can get you ashore or depending on tide find another place to moor you.

Rupert

June 20th and 21st are looking likely, Mainbrayce hare having a rally that weekend and so there will be a good barbecue laid on with all comers welcome.

As mentioned above though accommodation is already getting tight for this weekend though, so get booked if you can. Failing that, bring a tent.

For an additional (not alternative) date May is very good, there are usually deals to be had and the Harbour Master may look favourably on requests to anchor or dry out in Braye Beach.

May 3rd is Milk o'Punch Sunday, but you should allow a day to recover before operating heavy equipment!

Have a look here for other dates and goings on:

Depart Isle of Wight 20th
Depart Alderney 21st
Subject to weather and of course accomodation I am happy to hire a tent but others may not fancy that idea.
Alternative activities are lunch in Poole if we have naff weather and drink in Cowes upon return.

Standby dates for cruise to Alderney are May, June , July August and September all to be discussed and confirmed .

Either way the Isle of Wight posse will invade the Isle of Alderney at some point this summer and it would be nice if they invaded us back.

Tim

Can we move the dates to the 27th and 28th as it seems

Alderney is booked the weekend before. We can always go to Poole on the
21st as a shakedown and meet people coming on the trip.

Any objections to some PWC 'S coming along ?
Cheers Tim

Alderney

Tim

We spoke recently about the Alderney trip 28th June . I would be interestd in tagging along if there aren't too many boats already commited.

I've the Solent with a 150 Optimax based out of Hayling. If you could let me know the form I'd be greatful.

Oh and about six Jetski enthusiasts .

Pre Alderney Cruise in Company to Poole

Pre Alderney Cruise 20th of June

A short hop to Poole for lunch so every one can meet up and put names to faces before the Alderney trip.

Leave East Cowes at 1200 leisurely pootle to Poole for Lunch and then return.

It is round the Island Race so we will be out on the water first thing taking pictures .

On the way back we should see quite a few finishing so it
should be a good day.

Those coming on the Alderney trip need to book there B and B
High Water Dover 1422 UT on the 27th those coming please plan your passage and let me know what time you think we should depart the Safewater Mark .

Fingers crossed everyone will be in the same tidal hour for our time of departure.
Estimated time is 2 hours 30 mins plus 30 mins for any stops or delays.

Please let me know who still wants to come.
Tim

We are really looking seeing you all.

Keep an eye on Windfinder, they are reckoned to be pretty accurate for here:

http://www.alderneymarine.com/weather.html

The weather for the Poole run looks pretty good though.
