Ah yes of course sorry! I was trying to recall the name of your Vipermax but the closest I got was Bobbin Joe so I thought I would just put down Little Joe with a sprinkling of humour

You'll only need to pay, not drink. We'll take care of that.

Hi and welcome to RIB.net.

Most of the details are in the pages of this thread, the cruise plans to leave the western tip of the Isle of Wight at 1030 on Friday and cruise at 20/25 knots. If that sounds like it might suit you then read back for the full details.

Current forecast for that weekend is sunny and dry, wind west to north west F2-4, fingers crossed it stays like that or better.

The mid-atlantic systems are still open to interpretation, but crossing fingers might help I suppose.

Have you decided on your plans yet? If your leaving Jersey friday morning I might tag along (if your going to be cruising in economy mode!).

You're in Jsy friday? I'll be leaving friday am, haven't arranged anything with Erin or Gotchiguy yet though

Aiming for 30-32 knots cruising speed

Jack's school breaks up on Thursday, at the moment the weather on Friday looks better so thinking about the options.

My max speed is 31.9 knots

I suppose I could leave 10 mins before you

Edit: I think Erin is traveling on Thursday.

Can someone list a concise itinery for the weekend please. My Missus needs to know what to pack.
2x shorts, 2x 'T' shirts, 1x drinking boots for me.

Nothing has really been decided, but I think those boots might come in handy.

There are a few ideas on the web page, but my own suggestion is as follows:-

Friday lunchtime - arrive and meet on sailing club terrace
Friday afternoon - find accom, unload boat, SS&S
Friday 6ish - buy some vino for supper (see map)
Friday evening - meet at Chippy, have FnC, retire to sailing club or casino night

Saturday morning - join Malthouse for a train ride, walk and explore of German bunkers (torch and sober boots required)
Saturday lunchtime - wonder around town and have lunch in one of the many hostelries
Saturday afternoon - chill
Saturday evening - meet for BBQ

Sunday morning - miss breakfast due to hangover
Sunday late morning - try to remember how to work boat, get munchies

Yep, most probably leaving Thursday pm, as my beach mooring dries too early on Friday morning for our liking. You're welcome to cruise with us if you like.

Worth noting that Alderney is a very 'relaxed' place. No need for any fancy clobber or smart clothes, but it can get a bit chilly in the evenings.

Similar to the Scilly Isles. I'll not bother with the wedding/funeral/interview/court suit then.
