The links to Alderney point you in the right direction for accommodation, Martin can also give you details of places to stay.
Fuel wise we were fine last year although beaware of the containers used better to bring your own, as had a couple of boats come up with alarms regarding water in fuel.
Is Avocet and Mustard coming again ?
If we could start to make a list so we have a rough idea on numbers
Pronto (Tim)
Something Italian (Mark)
Blown away (Paul)

Thread has gone a little bit quiet, just wondering as Tim's proposed date is the first weekend of school holidays is it putting people off making a commitment to the trip?
We had a great time last year & with an extra day this time it should be even better.

Still going on those dates Paul and weather dependent as alway's but a small group will be just as fun as a large group.
Plenty of time yet for people to decide if worth going .

Hi Tim
We are hoping to come along again this year - weather dependent of course!
I think there will be three of on board - me, Phil (my brother) and Richard (12)again.
Looking forward to it already!
Trevor.

Hi Trevor
Looking forward to it and the extra day will be great, a mixed bag going this year Motor Cruisers x 3 ribs x3 and PWC x 3 have so far showed an interest.
I am going if the weather is ok and would be nice to have a large group as last year and great for those first time across the channel without fog this time though please.
But big or small a great adventure anyway and Martin Malthouse and Erin's Mum pulled all the stops out and made us feel so welcome it would e a shame not to go again and see more of the Island.

I have no doubt that the same welcome will await you on your return visit. Naturally there should be a jersey contingent again as well. I'm sure there'll be a bit of interest from a couple of other Jersey boats this year to join Martini and myself.

All welcome
Each and everyone is responsible for there own safety and passage planning skippers decision to go or not .
This is a friendly cruise in company to Aldrney and no charge is made for this just peope who like getting out on the water having fun.
Paul Cannel Cross Channel Pwc mad man and PWC Instructor is looking for someone to take his wife as a passenger so maybe get in touch with each other.
Just keep your eye on the post as time gets nearer then more details posted
All the above subject to weather conditions of course.

Motor Cruisers Ribs Pwc's all welcome you are asked to plan your own passage , have a suitable craft with safety equipment
A minimum of RYA Intermediate for Ribs, Dayskipper for Motor Cruisers and PWC certificate of Proficiency for the PWC's is suggested.
Be nice to have a group meal again last years was amazing value location excellent and everyone was very happy with the accomodation available and Martin (Malthouse) did an outstanding job of shoreside facilities and great to meet Martini and Erin.
Cheers

Hi all,
Sorry I have not been too active here for a bit, the sun came out and people remembered they had boats!
At just under a month to go, is it time to start thinking about some arrangements? Can I suggest, in no order at all....
Supper at the chippy, a much loved venue that is also a bring-your-own which keeps the price down. They get busy though so now is the time to book.
Barbecue at the Sailing Club, I would suggest some of the very finest beef you will ever taste - that of the local dairy herd!
Both of those are geared to the budget end, last year the Harbour Lights did a good job of combining rooms with a dinner which went down pretty well if I recall.
There are obviously several restaurants as well, if you want more info give me an idea of price range.
For the Saturday day time I suggest a walking tour of the island, we can include town and by definition lunch after taking in some sights while working up a thirst at the same time.
Erin and Martini have both said they hope to come. Which by my reckoning make the numbers about 20 at the mo?

Hi all, just thought I would finally add my name to the list, been watching the tread for a while, and since the dates are still the same, it looks like its potential goer for me. I would be coming up from France of course, maybe even join up with the Jersey contingent? It would be me and my 15 year old son in "Into the Red" our 7m Vmax
Oh and PS. Malthouse, what ever happened to June...? I never knew that it had been abolished as a month, when did this happen?

Pronto +4
Something Italian +2
Lady Ann + 2
Satsuma +3
Blueray +2
Blown away (PWC ) +2
PWC +1
Viper (on list but not sure how many )

Martin Fish and chips sounds good on the Friday and Beef on the Sat walking or just chilling sounds good to me .
Best thing is to see what everyone wants can you post a link to accomodation so people can start sorting themselves out .
This year if we could have the Motor boats closer to shore as they tended to roll about alot last year and some did not get too much kip.

That sounds fine to me and it would be good to cruise in company for a change, though it will depend upon what day and time we choose to go up (accommodation being no problem for us as my parents live there ).

Certainly hope to come up, and I'm sure I can persuade the RYA qualified bar staff to open up the club bar again!
